(DEMIURG) There are absolutely no indications anywhere that there was a quid
pro quo. Under Clinton administration (see present situation) I might tend to
suspect - but with pres. Truman, no. One of the few presidents who was not
bribable. As for the boosting up the Berlin occupational armies - the numbers
were increased right after the end of the blockade, and as I pointed out
previously, started to be trained in combat in "built up terrain", a procedure
which lasted practically to the end of the Soviet occupation.  
For the second theory I was unable to find a hint of confirmation anywhere -
that is obviously a pure
rumor.
